Curriculum 9/22: Gaps and Small Obstacles

Warning: I couldn’t really understand the lyrics, so they may be explicit.

 

This week, we’re focusing on gaps and small obstacles.  Our first lesson is turning the gaps sidways, looking at straight descents and drop precisions.  Our second is about building parkour vision in small “islands” of architecture.  Our third is focused on obstacles with gaps either immediately before or immediately after (mostly conquered using speed vaults and kong vaults, but also with strides, cranes, halfcats, and cat leaps).

 

Monday

Kids Basics A – Vertical gaps

Kids Basics B – “Parkour Vision”

Kids Intermediate – Gaps with small obstacles

Adult Basics A – Vertical gaps

Also on Monday: Focus (freerunning), Tiny Tots, and Strength/Mobility

 

Tuesday

Homeschoolers – Vertical gaps

Women’s Basics – “Parkour Vision” (or coach’s choice)

Young Kids 1 – Vertical gaps

Young Kids 2 – Vertical gaps

Kids Basics – Gaps with small obstacles

Kids Intermediate – “Parkour Vision”

Teens –  Gaps with small obstacles (or coach’s choice)

Adult Basics – “Parkour Vision”

Adult Intermediate – Vertical gaps

 

Wednesday

Kids Basics – “Parkour Vision”

Kids Intermediate Freerunning – Sideways rotation

Adult Basics – Gaps with small obstacles

Adult Low-Impact – Vertical gaps (or coach’s choice)

Also on Wednesday: Focus (challenge courses), Tiny Tots, Kids Intermediate Freerunning, and Strength/Mobility

 

Thursday

Homeschoolers – Gaps with small obstacles

Young Kids 1 – Coach’s choice
